Eltre's new earrings are inspired by the baroque era.
From 1625 on, ladies began to wear soft, flowing dresses with low necklines, and new jewelry was created to go with the new fashion. Baroque jewelry is distinguished by its botanical-inspired motifs and exuberant symmetry. The arabesque pattern was frequently used in jewelry design, this consisted of interwoven flowing lines, often incorporating heart shapes. In keeping with the theme, the arabesque motifs are always perfectly symmetrical. Another design style that was prominent in jewelry design at this time was known as Moresque. Like Arabesque, it consisted of an intricate scroll design. It was inspired by North-African and Arabian Arabic decoration.
